SR. CUSTOM APPAREL BUYER (Los Angeles)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Assistant Buyers to ensure physical elements of custom orders are consistent and accurate.
  • Perform cost analysis to ensure proper margins can be met.
  • Provide quotes to customers for custom projects.
  • Determine factory to place custom orders with based on capacity available, reliability, and fabrication.
  • Provide sales support and solutions for customers and internal employees when working on custom projects.
  • Manage, track, and communicate the status of custom purchase orders through completion with vendors.
  • Facilitate pre-production samples, bulk delivery, garment production, and shipping with vendor and customer.
  • Ensure invoicing for all custom orders is performed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure receipt of goods for all custom orders is performed in a timely manner.
  • Recommend solutions for process improvements.
  • Implement and maintain organized filing system for custom orders (from sample development through production).
  • Maintain specs for custom projects so they are easily accessible.
  • Reconcile open purchase and open sales order reports on monthly basis.
  • Update upper management of open and invoiced custom sales on a weekly basis.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience with retail routing guides.
  • Knowledge and experience working with EDI.
  • Knowledge of garment specs and knit fabrications.


BUYER (Atlanta)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review purchasing decisions and purchase orders.
  • Manage inventory and oversee the ordering of materials and supplies from vendors.
  • Refer to guidelines established for stock inventory purchases.
  • Notify Accounting of larger than normal inventory purchases.
  • Recommend solutions for process improvements
  • Communicate inventory space needs with Inventory Specialist and Warehouse Manager.
  • Reconcile WIP reports from all vendors.
  • Check production and samples for accuracy of color and spec.
  • Research shipment or receipt discrepancies.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

eMARKETING MANAGER (Atlanta)

Description:

As an eMarketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing online marketing programs for alternativeapparel.com. In this role, you will be held accountable for online sales, profitability, and customer acquisition. You will provide analysis and insight to manage the success of marketing programs and evaluate new opportunities to maximize growth. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and deployment of all site content and creative. You will work with marketing and creative teams to define key user segments, branding, and promotions. This position will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing and will manage a web team of 2-5 people.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage internet marketing strategies to ensure revenue and profitability goals are met.
  • Lead and direct the work of a web team
  • Track and provide data analysis to include web sales trends, web sales performance, and email metrics.
  • Test results and provide recommendations for improvement to increase productivity.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple short- and long-term projects while following through on daily assignments.
  • Manage an online marketing forecast and budget.
  • Effectively manage workload by following editorial calendar, meeting deadlines and ensuring quality of work .
  • Manage overall site design, creative, and functionality.
  • Oversee daily content, creative, and new functionality deployments.
  • Identify ways to improve the user experience.
  • Oversee web merchandising and product placement on the website to create a compelling online product presentation .
  • Manage content of product pages, community, e-mail layouts, and online campaigns, ensuring that they are “on-brand”.
  • Manage all media campaigns to exceed ROI requirements.
  • Oversee search engine optimization and identify ways to increase website traffic.
  • Weekly management of email campaigns, external blog sites, Myspace, and Facebook.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS required
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in online marketing and e-commerce.
  • Must have management experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications with a strong technical aptitude including some ability to understand basic web programming language (HTML)
  • Must have experience working with Web 2.0
  • Knowledge of web site development project life cycle with a proven track record of implementing online initiatives.
  • Strong ability to oversee and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Excellent written, problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management skills.
  • Highly self motivated with the ability to work under pressure and quickly adapt to unique situations.
  • Must be a creative individual and have an in-depth knowledge of today’s fashion and creative culture.
