Alternative earth's organic cotton collection is made from 100% organic cotton. Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture. Organic cotton is a sustainable product that's good for us now and for generations to come.

About Our Eco-heather...
Alternative earth's eco-heather collection transforms our line of best-selling vintage heather tees and bottoms into earth-friendly apparel for men, women, babies and toddlers. Our vintage heather tees are now manufactured using organic cotton, recycled polyester, and rayon made from naturally occurring polymers.

About Our Dye Methods and Garment Washing...
Our organic cotton and eco-heather apparel are dyed using low impact dyes and low impact dyeing methods. Our dyes do not contain heavy metals or other known toxic substances, nor are they petro-chemically based. Low impact dyeing methods use less water when dyeing and rinsing the fabric. 25% of the water used in our dye methods will be expelled to a treated waste water discharge. We also use bio-degradable fabric softeners and natural enzymes for finishing in our unique garment washing process.
