About our Eco-Heather…
Alternative Earth's Eco-Heather transforms our best-selling vintage heather tees and bottoms into an entire collection of earth-friendly apparel. How did we do it? By replacing our vintage heather threads with those using organic cotton, recycled polyester, and rayon created from naturally occurring polymers. The evolution was simple, but then sometimes the smallest change can make the biggest difference.

About our Eco-Vertigrain…
Eco-Vertigrain – Alternative Earth’s luxurious sweater-quality knit with a tiny vertical stripe throughout – is made from the same blend of yarns as our Eco-Heather collection, using organic cotton, recycled polyester, and naturally-occurring rayon. In materializing this innovative fabric, we have created a warm and snuggly yet sleekly-finished material. In this way Eco-Vertigrain is designed for versatility…and earth-friendliness, of course.

About our Natural Dye and Wash Methods…
We use low-impact dye and wash methods for everything in our Alternative Earth line. Our dyes do not contain heavy metals or other known toxic substances, nor are they petro-chemically based. The methods we employ use less water than traditionally, and 25% of what we do use is expelled to a water treatment facility. We also use biodegradable fabric softeners and natural enzymes for finishing in our unique wash process, so our renowned quality, resilience, and softness are maintained throughout Alternative Earth.
